Notarisa
Project leadership and design of the experience and website.

Context
Notarisa is a digital notary initiative in Chile: it aims to cut the time and cost of notarial procedures by letting people manage documents online —filling them in, signing them digitally or in handwriting and picking them up at the chosen notary office— without long queues.
The design challenge was to introduce a new service, unfamiliar in its digital form, while building trust in a field that is traditionally in-person and formal.
Process
I led the project and translated the client’s requirements into concrete design decisions, working alongside a UX writer and a front-end developer. The brand already existed, so my focus was the experience and the website.
I designed the site by turning a complex procedure into a clear experience: what the service is, how it works step by step and which documents can be managed, with a trustworthy, formal tone fitting a legal service, yet simpler and friendlier than the traditional process.

Solution
A clear site that presents the digital notary and guides the user through the process, conveying trust in an online legal service.

Impact
Notarisa was left with a digital face that makes a new service understandable and credible, bringing notarial procedures closer to those who cannot —or would rather not— do them in person.
